I only discovered IKU-TURSO by a split release with Kalmankantaja and was overwhelmed afterwards by their latest release "Pakana". As the Finnish atmosphere, the piercing guitars and perfect interaction of melodies and harsh black metal thrills me, I ended up putting all releases of this Nordic horde to my collection. I can only recommend doing so, as grand songs like "Bleached Bones in Utter Darkness" should simply be heard by all real black metal enthusiasts!

Finnish Death Metal. There is fantastic music to be found here with an overall ritualistic feel to it together with a very haunting atmosphere permeating the album. Something along the lines of The Ruins of Beverast but maybe a little less so. Just like TRoB, this is non-standard metal that tries new things & this makes it incredibly exciting for me! Highly recommended!!!
